Portray Clay Co. is a unique team effort between illustrator Alana Hawley and potter Ryan Ball. Each piece is hand-thrown by Ryan Ball, with a portrait or illustration painted directly onto its surface in underglazes by Alana. This imbues each piece with painterly life, capturing the essence of the subject, while the fine detail work captures their subtle nuances of expression. Every piece is made to both beautiful and functional.
